As a busy mom, it can be hard to find time to get stuff done. You feel like you’re constantly running behind, and you never have enough time to relax. It’s easy to become overwhelmed and stressed out. But it doesn’t have to be this way! In this blog post, we will discuss how you can use systems at home to help you get more done. We’ll provide tips for creating a morning routine, organizing your home, and meal planning. These simple steps will help make your life easier and less stressful!

There are school projects to finish, messes to clean up, and dinner to make. You listen to Disney songs in the car because the Encanto album for the 356th time is better than hearing your kids argue and your safe haven is the Starbucks drive-through line because your kids are strapped in and somewhat happy.

As moms, we are constantly busy and we are constantly putting our needs second because we feel like we can’t be good moms if we don’t.

I’m here to tell you that although life won’t ever be perfect and it will always have rough times, we can find our own version of whole-life balance as moms.

We can make time for self-care, we can have a semi-clean home most of the time, and it’s ok to want to hit goals that will fulfill you as an individual without the title of ‘mom’.

Also, we deserve this shit. We deserve to find our happiness and we also owe it to not only ourselves but to our partners and kids. They deserve to see a happy mom too.

Finding your joy in life can be done and I personally believe that by identifying your own version of whole-life balance and using systems at home, you can get shit done as a busy mom.

So, let’s go through the top 9 things you need to focus on that will help you get shit done!

Always Start with Why

Being a busy mom is hard enough without having to constantly battle against feelings of overwhelmingness and inadequacy. But if you’re not careful, that’s exactly where you’ll end up. In order to avoid letting your to-do list get the best of you, it’s important to get clear on your why. Why are you doing all of this in the first place? Once you have a good understanding of your motivations, it will be much easier to get shit done and actually enjoy your life along the way.

For some moms, their why might be simply wanting to provide their children with a happy and stable home life. Others might want to set a good example for their kids by leading a productive and fulfilling life themselves. And still others might want to use their gifts and talents to make a difference in the world. Whatever your why is, make sure it’s something that truly inspires and motivates you. Only then will you be able to achieve the level of productivity you’re striving for.

Learn How to Recognize Burnout

As a working mom, I have to be on top of my game at all times. I need to how to get shit done and how to do it quickly and efficiently. But sometimes, despite my best effort, I still find myself getting close to burnout. I’ve had to become good at recognizing the signs of burnout quickly before they start to take a toll on my mental and physical health.

Burnout is now a recognized health condition, not just a catchphrase. And it was a problem for working moms even before the pandemic.

Last year, the World Health Organization added it as a syndrome to the International Classification of Diseases. The condition is qualified as a “chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed,” according to the WHO.

Here are some signs that you might be nearing burnout:

1. You feel like you’re constantly running on empty and are just going through the motions.

2. You’re snapping at your kids more often and find yourself being short-tempered with those around you.

3. You’re having trouble sleeping or are working yourself to the point of exhaustion.

4. You’ve lost interest in things that used to bring you joy and no longer have any patience for anything or anyone.

5. You’re feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, and like you just can’t do this mom thing anymore.

If you find yourself nodding along to any of these points, it’s time to take a step back and reevaluate your situation.

Here are some things you can do at the first sign of burnout:

1. Know your limits by learning to recognize what pushes you over the edge (triggers) and stay away from those things

2. Don’t forget about taking care of yourself first! Schedule time for it so it’s not missed!

3. Lean into your support systems and find your tribe! There are so many moms out in the world who totally get that #momlife and the not so glamorous times it may bring.

4. Start using routines in your home as it can bring a sense of balance which can reduce uncertainty and brings structure and stability to your life.

5. Stop multi-tasking! In the long run it’s not as efficient and it pulls you away from things that truly matter when trying to juggle too many priorities at once.

6. Manage expectations by taking a look at what brings you the most stress and try to reduce your expectations in that area.

Re-evaluate your Expectations

As a mom, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly running around and never getting anything done. Just when you think you’ve got your day mapped out, someone has a blowout diaper or a meltdown in the grocery store. As a result, it can be tough to get anything done as a busy mom. But with a few simple tips, you can learn how to manage your expectations and get more done in your day.

First, try to set realistic goals for what you can accomplish in a day. Don’t try to do too much, or you’ll just end up feeling overwhelmed and stressed.

Second, create a daily schedule and stick to it as best you can. This will help you make the most of your time and avoid wasting time on things that aren’t important.

Finally, accept that some days will be better than others. Some days you’ll be able to check everything off your list, and other days it will feel like all you did was survive. That’s just the nature of parenting. But if you can learn to roll with the punches and go with the flow, you’ll be more likely to get things done – and that’s good for everyone involved.

Create Your Own Version of Whole-Life Balance

Any parent knows that the key to getting shit done is knowing you can’t actually do it all and finding a healthy balance. That’s why, as a busy mom, it’s important to find and create your own version of whole-life balance.

First, take a good hard look at how you’re spending your time. Make sure you’re not wasting time on activities that don’t bring you joy or help you meet your goals. If you find yourself stuck in a rut, take a break and do something completely different for a change. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective to jumpstart your productivity.

Next, get organized and create a system that works for you and your family. This may mean investing in a family communication hub for your home or a planner to keep track of everyone’s schedules that makes you happy to look at.

Finally, remember to take care of yourself both physically and mentally. When you’re running on empty, it’s tough to be at your best. So make sure to schedule in some time for self-care, whether it’s taking a yoga class or getting a massage. By finding what works for you, you can achieve the ultimate goal: getting shit done as a busy mom.

Identify and Make Plans for your own Goals

Being a mom is tough–there’s no doubt about it. But being a mom doesn’t mean you have to forget about your own goals and aspirations. In fact, working on your goals can be a great way to manage stress, connect with other moms, and set a positive example for your children.

There are a few key things you can do to make sure you’re getting shit done like achieving your own goals as a busy mom. First, schedule some time for yourself each day or week to work on your goals. This doesn’t have to be a lot of time, but it should be enough to make meaningful progress.

Additionally, try to find creative ways to work on your goals around your kids. For example, if your goal is to write a book, you can start by writing some chapters while your kids are napping or watching TV. Finally, don’t be afraid to ask for help from your partner or friends when it comes to accomplishing your goals. Having a supportive network will make all the difference.

So go ahead and keep working towards those goals, even though you’re also a mom. You might just be surprised at how badass you really are!

Implement Systems You’re Missing at Home

I am a busy, working mom and I have to get shit done in the most efficient and productive way possible to keep my sanity.

In order to achieve my version of whole-life balance, I have implemented several systems at home. First, I have a daily routine that I stick to as much as possible. This helps me to make use of my time and get things done efficiently.

Second, I’ve found systems that work for me and my family including budgeting, meal planning, evening routine and morning routines, a simple cleaning schedule, and a constant decluttering system to keep my home organized.

Finally, I outsource as much as possible so that I can focus on the things that are most important to me. This includes involving the family, hiring a cleaning service and ordering groceries online. By implementing these systems, I have been able to achieve better balance in my life and get more done as a busy mom.

Don’t be Afraid to Ask for Help

Moms sometimes feel as if they have all the burden on their shoulders. But here’s the thing: you’re not alone. In fact, there are lots of other moms out there who are in the same boat. So how do you leverage this to get shit done? It’s all about finding your tribe. These are the people who will help you out when you’re feeling overwhelmed, whether it’s by watching your kids for an hour so you can get some work done or simply lending an ear when you need to vent. Once you find your tribe, you’ll be amazed at how much more you can accomplish. So go out there and find your people – it will make all the difference.

Find an Accountability Partner

There’s nothing like the power of accountability to help you get more done. But how do you find an accountability partner? If you’re a busy mom, it can be tough to find someone who’s willing to help you stay on track. Here are a few tips:

1. Look for someone who has similar goals. It’s easier to stay accountable when you’re both working towards the same thing.

2. Find someone you can trust. This person will be seeing your most intimate moments of procrastination and self-doubt, so it’s important to find someone you feel comfortable with.

3. Make sure there’s mutual respect. Your accountability partner is not your personal assistant – they’re there to help you, not do your bidding. Make sure you treat them with the same respect you expect from them.

4. Choose someone who’s reliable. You need someone who will be there for you when things get tough – not someone who flakes out at the first sign of trouble.

With these tips in mind, finding an accountability partner can help you finally achieve your goals and get more done!

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of finally getting shit done as a busy mom. After a long day of chasing after kids and dealing with never-ending to-do lists, it can be easy to feel like you’re never going to get ahead. But when you finally reach that moment of accomplishment, it’s important to celebrate! Here are a few ideas for how to get more done as a busy mom and celebrate your accomplishments:

1. Make a list of everything you’ve accomplished in the past week, month, or year. Seeing everything laid out in front of you will help you appreciate how much you’ve actually gotten done.

2. Take some time for yourself. Whether it’s reading your favorite book, taking a relaxing bath, or just taking a few minutes to meditate, giving yourself some time to recharge will help you feel refreshed and ready to tackle whatever comes your way.

3. Write down your goals for the future and what you need to do to accomplish them. Having a plan will help you stay on track and motivated, and it will be satisfying to look back and see how far you’ve come.

4. Share your accomplishments with someone else. People deserve to know how badass you are and the impact you’re making as an individual and as a mom!
